We want you to see for yourself these wonderful watering systems, but we would be remiss and not looking out for you and your furry companions if we did not call to your attention or remind you about the actual water you are consuming.
Do not assume the water you are giving your canine, feline or other family members is good for those drinking it. Fluoride has been given so many accolades over the years as being essential for healthy teeth, the negatives have been drowned out of the conversation. There are countries that consider fluoride a hazardous waste and the chemical is banned for use in water supplies. Surprised? In September 2005, 11 unions that represent more than 7,000 researchers and scientists at the Environmental Protection Agency called for a moratorium on fluoridating America’s drinking water, citing cancer risks.
Brita, Pur, and most other filters do NOT remove fluoride, and boiling the water will concentrate fluoride and not reduce it. You should take action and avoid water that is not filtered or fluoridated for the whole family, and do not allow your dog or cat to drink or feed from plastic bowls.
